White Collar Crime and Investigations

The first forty-eight hours after a search or a summons decide most of what follows.

What we do

We defend companies, directors and officers in economic offence proceedings, and we conduct the internal investigations that precede or replace them. Proceedings under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, and under the prior Code where matters were instituted before commencement. Prevention of Money Laundering Act matters including attachment, the Adjudicating Authority and the Appellate Tribunal. Search, seizure and summons response. Anticipatory and regular bail. Quashing petitions under Section 528 of the Sanhita. Statutory prosecutions under company, tax, food, environmental and labour legislation, where directors are frequently arraigned by designation rather than by conduct and the defence is often available on that ground alone. Internal investigations conducted so that the report is privileged, usable and does not itself become the prosecution’s best document.
